| It’s truly hard to believe that it’s already August second again. On this day in 1917 my father, Arnold Fox, was born in the Bronx. On the same day of the year in 1953, Beverly Fried was born in Dayton, Ohio. The picture I have attached here shows us together (with Mom, Reva, Deena, and Tamar) in London in the summer of 1985. My father was two years younger than I am now, and Bev was a youthful and beautiful thirty-two. I always miss them both, but seeing our family together at Renana and Brooke’s wedding this year I knew how much they would have enjoyed being with us, and how much I wanted to share the experience with them. But they gave us so much that they are always very much still with us. |
