| Comment | A collection of essays about dying languages and efforts to save them. I enjoyed it and learned some things. In particular, the paid language apprentice program which one American Indian community runs seemed like an excellent idea that might help keep the language alive for another generation. However, some of her claims for what is lost when a language dies and the benefits of multi-lingualism seemed overblown. |
